Rated 5 out of 5 by from User friendly with substantial resources for diffi Although most of my taxes are similar from year to year, I occasionally have complex issues that are not intuitive and go unanswered in the IRS Publications. Thankfully the Help Forum is well organized and is able to answer even my most difficult questions. The few times in the past 30 years that I couldn't figure it out, the accountants couldn't help me either! Didn't need teh Live assistant but glad to know additional help is available.

Also, for two years in a row I have to do some series of screens over again even when it's not asking me to verify information.

The new QR feature allows you to take pictures of forms to upload directly; it made the process easier and quicker. I highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who wants to attempt filing their taxes on their own.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from too expensive with annoying upsells all the way The pricing is deceptive and there are non stop ads for upsells all the way through that are way past being annoying. I will not be using again next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many extra fees I enjoyed using TurboTax last year, as it was very easy, and didn't cost me anything. This year, I was required to report two 1099NEC forms, and TurboTax required me to purchase the deluxe edition in order to process these documents. TurboTax advertised that it would be very easy to use part of my federal return to cover this $54 fee, at an additional $39 fee. Charging a fee that is 72% of the original fee is really a disappointing thing to see from a business, especially over a service that so many people are required to pay to access. I may have to look at other tax preparation services next year.
