Rated 1 out of 5 by from Desktop Program Failed Repeatedly When attempting to enter things such as W2 information, deductions, and most anything else that wasn't a trivial yes/no answer, the data entry section failed to load. I spent hours trying to find a way around it, including uninstalling, redownloading, and reinstalling. All to no avail. This was so trusting and I had to find where the forms were hidden away and enter it using the forms. Essentially no added benefit of the TurboTax questions that make the tool so useful. What this proved is I have relied too much on TurboTax for the past dozen years and I'm capable of doing the forms myself as I did years ago. I will be doing them "manually" from now on because TurboTax absolutely failed me when I needed it to work and that's how I had to do it anyway. I still had to pay for TurboTax and it did nothing other than electronic filing, which can be done for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review explanations and links to source of problem I moved my permanent residence from CA to NY end of March 2022 so it was a complicated year to fill out. I am not an accountant. Decent with numbers but easily overwhelmed by the many many areas of TT one needs to go when looking for an answer to a review "error". So here is what I suggest: when your error points out a form that is being referred to, even though you might say the number below needs to be -2,000, please provide a link to the actual form IT-203a or whatever and give us the opportunity to go there and understand what we did to cause the error rather than simply put in the number you provide at the error summary paragraph
