Cost $274 dollars for me to do my own return using their basic tax software program with no expert consultation. Going to different tax planning software next year

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The cost of your service I have been using this service to do my taxes for my entire adult life. At this point, I have seen the cost in fees go up from the original $30 (even though your commercials you had been running for years said they were FREE and we all know that they were obviously not free). I just paid over $200 for almost the exact same service. I know that this does not cost you a difference of $170 to file my taxes. I would absolutely love to see what it costs your company per year to operate vs the amount being made off of people using your service. I confidently doubt it is five times higher than it was ten years ago. I am sure Turbotax has been absolutely raking in money by providing taxpayers this service for decades now. To see a price increase of this amount during a time when many Americans are struggling to make ends meet is insulting and downright greedy. Not only are you bending me over a barrel for this money but I am sure my data is being sold wherever possible as well(for more profit). Anyways, see you(I doubt anyone is actually reading this) next year when the price inevitably increases to $250 for absolutely no reason. Thanks for nothing, -Poor

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbotax is a scam Because I purchased health insurance through the marketplace my return had 1 additional form above standard income statements. For this I was required to pay 64 dollars for the "deluxe" package, which only provided the service of allowing me to file this form with my normal taxes.
