Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so easy Turbo tax is easy for those who does not have to itemize. Otherwise it gets complicated when it won't let you fix an error that you can clearly see.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not always clear and auto correct not always right I have an LLC where one member gets 100 of profit and the other gets 0. Turbo Tax would not let me file and kept putting in a 99999999999 in the fields that should have been zero. I overrode those fields and entered the correct number...zero. It would not electronically transmit with the override. Could not figure out how to do it so am printing and mailing this return in. Very frustrating

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is great unless your spouse is foreign TurboTax is relatively easy to use and has been effective for me over the years, filing as a student, a worker and as an expat in the UK. However, now that I am married to a non-resident alien, I am no longer allowed to e-file because TurboTax requires me to enter a SSN/ITIN for my spouse which does not exist, as my foreign spouse has only foreign income. Please TurboTax, allow the SSN/ITIN field to use alphanumeric characters, so I can write 'NRA/non-resident alien' for my spouse's information to e-file. Without this, I will stop using TurboTax after this year and use another program instead which allows for e-filing with a NRA spouse.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax unnecessarily required state return One of the tax returns I completed was for a person who lives in PA and works in NJ. PA has reciprocity with PA, so in this situation a NJ return was not necessary since NJ does not withhold state taxes. However, TurboTax said I need to file a NJ return. This was a waste of $45 for purchasing the NJ State and $25 for filing the NJ return. TurboTax needs to be corrected for this situation. I contacted TurboTax and was told I had to pay a fee to discuss my situation. Very disappointed!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I’ve been using turbo tax for years This year is the first year I’ve been disappointed by turbo. One, I now have two accounts for some reason so had to go back on old account to get verification info. Two I feel like they are charging me too much. I didn’t want the credit that I was forced to upgrade to deluxe (the credit was less than the upgrade cost) I may look at other services next year

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Was Simple! Most of the info was straight to the point. The state part was a little tricky but I got though it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems with e-file due to AGI Have used Turbo Tax for many years, always satisfied in the past. This year was unable to e-file due to an error with AGI. We file married filing jointly, every time I tried to e-file it would produce an error that either my wife's AGI or mine did not match IRS records. Tired Turbo Tax help, who sent me to the IRS, after a long complicate process, found out the IRS records matched what I had. Back to TT help who told me I was not unique, many people reporting the same problem. Adived it was probably easier to print and mail.
