Rated 2 out of 5 by from Handles amended returns very poorly Had to file amended returns for both 2021 and 2022, and TurboTax fell on its face in both cases. For tax years 2020 onward, amended returns are accepted electronically by IRS. For 2021 it will walk you through the whole electronic filing process before failing on the signature date. When you print the forms to file by mail, the instructions say don't mail the return because it was filed electronically (even though it wasn't). For 2022, my original refund was applied to 2023 estimated taxes. When amending, TurboTax reduced the refund amount by the additional tax owed, and then also prompted for payment (check or EFT) of the same amount, thereby charging twice for the same tax liability. This is a blatant error.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used Turbo Tax for Years I have used Turbo Tax for years, and easy is the best word I can describe for it. I use to do my taxes by hand, however the questions seemed to get harder every year. This is the best solution to getting them completed, and E-file. I will continue to use Turbo Tax.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is okay as it works At least 2 times throughout the process they system tries to "trick" you into signing up for a more premium plan. Also, if you have to leave and come back you are forced to go through items you have already gone through - not a big deal but just annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbotax makes the whole process easier No one likes to pay taxes. The whole process seems like it was devised to confuse taxpayers. And, IT'S INTIMIDATING! I like how directions you need apear "just in time" as you are working on your return. You receive professional help at every step of the way. No one needs to feel intimidated at tax time if you are using Turbotax. It takes the weight off your shoulders :-)
