I feel like they're making it overly complicated on purpose so that you get frustrated and pay money for a live expert. Considering I make less than $73k annually, I shouldn't even have to pay to file my federal taxes. I'll be switching to somewhere else next year.

However, Turbo Tax forces me to go with business Schedule C which is a nightmare! I don't have any business with book writing in 2022. It was done in 2019. As the result, I cannot e-file my returns. I used some phony answers to be able to e-files. Yaks!

The website was easy to use, prompting with questions to determine what information I needed to include. At the end, I jumped on a call with a Turbotax rep to go over a few questions I had - Ruben was great! He put me at ease, answering my questions and making sure there were no lingering errors that needed resolving before filing. He was knowledgeable and friendly and made sure I was confident and ready to file.
