Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helpful except for one glitch We have used TurboTax for several years, but this year we ran into a glitch that, after much research, seems to have been happening for several years and still has not been fixed. My husband is retired from the military, and military retirement pay is exempt from Louisiana state taxes. In past years, the retirement pay has transferred correctly to the appropriate place on the Louisiana tax return. This year, however, when the retirement benefits transferred, they were listed in the correct place on the Louisiana form, but the amount to exclude said $0 instead of the income amount. After several hours, I finally found a helpful post on the TurboTax discussion boards that provided a manual work-around, but having paid for TurboTax to do our taxes, I should not have to be figuring this out myself. Other users having the same issue stated that they have had this problem for several years, and some have said they have spent hours on the phone with customer support with no resolution. My hope is that this glitch will be fixed for next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I USE TURBO TAX YEARLY...THE ONLY WAY TO GO TT pulls previous years' information for income sources. Popup boxes explain any questions a taxpayer has during filing. User can do preparation in sections, save data and return later to finalize. TT seems to be more complete and easier to use each year. I'm on my 8th year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Process The step-by-step process is very easy to follow. I a am prior CPA and found little annoyances but overall for those that do not understand the tax world it would be mostly straight forward for them to complete. I do however wish it would not make you answer the same questions each time. The numbers entered are kept but the question check boxes are deleted each time you need to enter to adjust/review information. Additionally, I wish you could more easily see the forms and drill down into the number directly from the review side. Other than that great overall experience using Turbo Tax for the first time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trickier Than Last Year Not sure why I cannot file free because I had an HSA for 5 months of the year. Didn't see where it mentioned the $39 fee to pay with your federal refund until I reached the confirmation screen and then had to go back to change my options. That was annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax puts the "turbo" into tax time! Easy to use, asks all the questions that I might not already know, looks for deductions I hadn't considered and clear flow to the whole input of info. I'm a fan. I don't feel like I'm forgetting to submit anything and have a clear expectation of the whole process. Thank you for making this easy as possible.
