Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Easy to Use I have been using TurboTax for the last few years, and find it very easy to use and gets through the process quickly, without having to access tables and do calculations. I trust it to accurately report my investment income, and all this comes at a lower rate than if I used a tax professional, as I have in the past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much easier than filing on paper Excellent product, but there is room for improvement: 1. Why isn't tax on out-of-state interest transferred automatically from the federal return to the state return (Indiana)? Seems kind of silly that I have to switch to Forms view and go looking for it, when you could just auto-fill it for me. 2. The question about what type of HDHP each spouse was covered by NEEDS to made much clearer: I'm covered by my wife's HDHP Family plan, so obviously I should pick "Family", right? WRONG. I'm not covered by MY OWN, so the correct answer is "None", otherwise TT asks me to explain why I had a "break in coverage". Huh? No I didn't. You NEED to clarify this in your on-screen instructions. 3. If I'm filing both federal and state at the same time, and paying what I owe by direct debit from a checking account, why in the world do I need to enter the routing and account numbers THREE times each (twice for federal, once for state)?? I get that you want that entered twice for confirmation, but you SHOULD ask if I want to use the same account for state that I used for federal and auto-fill it if I select Yes. 4. I shouldn't have to enter my driver's license number, issue date, and expiration date, and my wife's, EVERY YEAR. TurboTax SHOULD remember what I entered last year, display it, and ask me if it's still correct, allowing me to make necessary changes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it wants to charge more than I really wanted I only wanted the basic and it made it difficult to remove all the exta charges

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really easy to use and helpful a lot easier than i thought it would be, very simple

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hidden fees For a first-time, independent tax-filer, the process was made super simple. I really value transparency, and so I do wish they didn't hide the costs until the very end when you've already spent time filing. I ended up paying $120 when I thought it was going to be free ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent & easy to help in handling taxes Everything was smooth. Wish they still had advice folks supporting the more difficult tax questions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had to do everything twice. Previous Year needed Previous year needed higher level. rather than let you downgrade have to reset everything and redo all the work just to chose the appropriate level. might have bought deluxe if could have just switched, but after doing all the work again chose the free. money lost for stupid decisions. no help from their help system and calling was worthless. nearly switched companies just to not deal with it
