Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Needs to Lower their Rates As a contractor I love how Turbo Tax walks you through the 1099 process. That said, they tried to take almost my whole return in fees that were not explicit during the filing process so I had to go back and amend my taxes as much I could to avoid paying them over $200. This is just not affordable for working and lower class folks. Turbo tax- please consider making your rates more accessible because you are losing customers otherwise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Free is *not* free I tried to use the free version. My tax situation required me to pay $59 for an upgraded version. At the end somehow $59 became $157.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Language Barrier/Long Time I talked with one of your Tax Experts; she was very friendly and kind but her accent was so strong that it was hard to understand her. I kept asking her again what she was saying to try to understand her. Also, I was on the phone for 45 minutes, waiting for help. In the end we deleted a form and I reentered the form. It was not worth the $80 I had to pay to be told to delete form and reenter it. The actual software product is very good and I have used it for seven years. I will continue to use it and hope that I do not need to use Live experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is an excellent tool! Turbo Tax is simple to use. The most complicate part of filing is gathering and calculating expense categories and receipts...which is not a TurboTax issue. Once the data is collected, the form process is simple.
