Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax says its free but its NOT! First my state return I was only getting back %49 they charged me $59 so I paid them so I lost money! Then we get to the end there was another $39 charge then i get to pretty much the last page and another $59 charge! SO DO NOT BELIVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY IT FREE! $157 is not free. Oh and i never asked a live person for help that also cost more! Honestly I still have no idea why they charged me $59 for my federal!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Convenient but prices are increasing. I have used turbo tax for over 5 years now. It's pretty easy and convenient. It used to be free no strings attached. There was 1 year they said based on my return they would have to charge me or I could use the IRS website to file (I did). This year I feel like I'm being charged for everything. I had to file a 2nd state tax return even though I didn't owe that state anything and they didn't owe me anything. Turbo tax is charging for both state returns and forcing me to upgrade to their premium service because I need to file in a 2nd state. Now I'm also being charged to pay Turbo Tax from my tax refund and to pay electronically what I owe in state taxes. My refund went from $400+ to about $120. Don't mind paying to have taxes done but this is with no actual assistance from a preparer as that would have been more.
