Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you Turbo Tax Thanks to the live help by Carolyn (called me before 5 minutes) my taxes were reduced by half and my state refund went up! I was very confused where to put clergy housing allowance from the Rabbi Trust fund (IRA) distribution (1099-R). She followed through with me and helped me check and uncheck and find the correct boxes. Thank you so much. The turbo tax HELP section for this question "How do I enter a parsonage or housing allowance on a 1099-R?" and "if box 2b is checked" instructions say to enter ZERO in box 2b. But it did not tell me where to enter the housing allowance (If box 2 b is not checked, see line 6). So with the help of the live phone chat and her supervisor we followed instructions for line 6, HOWEVER, I could not efile because the glitch in the system kept saying that 2b could not be zero. Please fix this glitch in your database. I will be printing and mailing today (last day). Your helper, Caroyn, was EXCELLENT, instructive, knowledgeable, assisted hands-on by computer screen, knew the answers to my questions and tried 5 times to get past the glitch. Her supervisor had us enter the Clergy Housing Allowance in the Other Taxable Income screen. It reduced the Federal taxes by half and increased the state taxes, however it still would not allow E-File. Thank you for your assistance. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Fast!!!!! This is the first time I used Online Filing. I usually prepare using a Turbo Tax disc on my desktop MAC, but to save time and not have to update my OS I decided to go the online route. It was even EASIER and QUICKER! I'm changing my MO from now on!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never Again If I had a dime for each time I selected that I don't want additional Intuit services, I could purchase Intuit. The algorithm missed that Wisconsin and Illinois have tax liability reciprocity. I have to take care of that separately to avoid a $3000 consequence. It took three trys before finally just deleting a duplicate 1099-R that was residual from last year. It was unable to find the W-2 information electronically (I am the employer, I know it was filed).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very buggy I've been using Turbotax for over 10 years and this will be the last. Too buggy ; simple things that show you're not really inveesting much to keep it updated. Why do I have the option of entering a Savings account for NM state tax debit when they don't accept savings accounts??? there needs to be a way to override some issues like when SSN or EIN for a childcare provider is not available...
