Rated 2 out of 5 by from Medfiocre Well, after you enter some info it tells you there's an update but doesn't save info you just entered. How about checking when you start program and at set intervals? Program is very hard to search for information within. Very slow to load.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good Ive used Turbo Tax Premier for several years now. It's good, and most certainly better than plowing through IRS Pubs and forms for AMT, estate k-1s, and investment income. At times I've had to go to Forms and push an entry to get it to prompt questions. For example this year we had an AMT credit from prior years, but having switched from a pc to a Mac, TT didn't "know" last years return and wouldn't ask for the info I needed to provide. If you don't know what you are doing and where you need to go, you could miss some important entries to file complete and accurate return. All in all, its far less expensive than hiring a tax preparer, but if you have a more complex return, I feel TT is only for those fairly familiar with tax rules and regs or those willing to dive in and read IRS Pubs when in doubt.
