Rated 2 out of 5 by from Electronic filing Did not check my state return properly for errors so it was rejected electronically. Will see if the state accepts new changes. If not I should not be charged the $25 filing fee. as it was a turbo tax error

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is easy to use. My return this year was a little more complicated. My TurboTax expert adviser, Amy, was courteous and very helpful. The program changes took a little getting used to, but I finally succeeded and was able to e-file.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deceptive practice I used the Deluxe software for the past 4 years and have paid the Ca State filing fee by credit card which now is $25.00. This year when I tried to pay the $25 fee, Turbo Tax also wanted me to pay $45 for Premium Services (Audit Protection). I did not see any choice not to pay this fee, so I backed out thinking it was a glitch. I went back in to pay by credit card and still saw I was being asked to pay the $45 fee, in addition to the $25 for filing in Ca. I backed out and decided to pay the $25 Ca fee from my Federal refund, but again saw I was required to pay $45 for Premium Services. So I did. The next day I called customer service twice, and eventually spoke to a lady, who said I shouldn't have had to pay the extra $45 charge, but would have to refer me to another person in the desktop department to help me. So I get a call from this lady who tells me the $45 fee is charged to anyone living in Ca and has Turbo tax e-file for them. I tell her I have used Turbo Tax the past 4 years and have never had to pay $45 for an extra charge, only the $20 - 25 charge to E file for Ca. She tells me again the $45 is a charge that Ca requires for E filing. I check complaints on this issue on Turbo Tax website and see the $45 charge is NOT a mandatory charge by the State of Ca, but is a charge by Turbo Tax for audit defense, id protection moniitoring, ect. So,in conclusion, Turbo Tax made me pay for something I didn't want or need. How do I get my $45 back !!!!
