I had used a CPA for several years, and was nervous about trying this on my own with several different types of income, including self-employed, 1099-R, and from rental properties. There were a couple of items I wasn't sure about, and the live chat with a tax professional made it super easy! I saved about $150 in costs compared to the CPA I used previously, and I got it done quickly!
