It prepopulates the carryover amounts from previous years and somehow increases the carryover, when it should be decreasing each year that some of it is used. It also should keep track of how many years you’ve claimed the credit and not allow you to take it more than the allowed 5 years. Not only did the software try to give me a huge credit even though I’ve already claimed my limit of 5 years, it was also EXTREMELY difficult to remove the adoption credit manually and with the help of at least 5 of your experts.
