Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every year Every couple years I compare TurboTax to another popular brand and the other brand always costs me a couple hundred in returns. I use TurboTax every year, this year I was self-employed and was nervous about what that would mean for me filing on my own, but they made the process just as easy as the regular returns are, plus the multiple states I pay taxes to, plus the quick help I needed for a question on live chat was worth everything I paid. Will continue to use, very happy with Turbotax

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sucks I purchased TurboTax at Cosco a a few weeks ago. I started using the TurboTax program entered federal and state. I.e. filed both federal and state with the charge of $25. Which I agreed to but then it started asking for $49 for the TurboTax software. I had already purchased the CD at Cosco so why am I charged a second time. I was given a number to call I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. When I tried talking to someone about it I was cut off I had to redial again and go through the same process all over again. The only way I could get the program to work was by going with the full charge a total charge of $70 but I had to re-buy another copy of TurboTax so what is going on. This will be the last time I use this product if this is what it has come to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dishonest product pricing I did not use any of the Premium features but was charged $170 for federal return, not the $90 advertised. There were many attempts to "up sell" me in the application, I refused them all. I was still charged for extra services I did not ask for or use. And when searched how to unselect the "live premium" service, the only option was to start over. Next year, I will use a different tax prep software package.
