Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is still the best!!! TurboTax is by far the best web application I have ever used for anything. Page layouts are simple. The steps are logical, and the prompts are easy to follow. All of the instructions are presented clearly and concisely. The explanations of the inputs required are very helpful, and the resources for additional information are easily accessible at every step. Importing tax documents is easy. Wonderful design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo tax is helpful but expensive Ive used turbotax for 4 years now and it was great the first 2 years but the 3rd and 4th years were a bit iffy. Ive had to pay out the wazoo in order to file my taxes now and its starting to take away the majority of my tax return. I probably won't stop using it but if there is a way to make it cheaper again that would be ideal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Losing its value, year after year 1. Software Issues! Spent money to upgrade to Premier Package from Deluxe. Paid for it, TurboTax wouldn't recognize the upgrade, no matter what we tried. Money lost. 2. Software & Customer Service Issues! Tried to pay for State E-file ($25 fee). TurboTax would not allow CC payment (error screen kept popping up), but conveniently offered to deduct it from my refund for an additional $40...what a RIPOFF TurboTax! Found another option buried in the fine print that you could call a provided phone number for the payment. 15 minutes later, the CS operator told me that TurboTax wasn't authorized to receive payments, WHAT?!? 3. Software Issues! Worked through all the above/misc buggy issues and went to E-file & TurboTax yet again choked and wouldn't allow the transmittal of files. Had to mess with the online support/rebooting computer/updating TurboTax several times to get it to work. With software like this, I can see why people just take their receipts to an accountant...less headache for a similar cost

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much fluff Not a huge fan of all the times they stop you from getting your info input to keep soliciting you to upgrade and also the race timer thing was a bit dumb. I do like that they attempt to look for other deductions, but I'm not a big fan of all of the additional fluff and animations for processing. Also, we've used Turbo Tax for 2 years and they are the only 2 times we have ever had to pay in, so most likely we will go back to a proper accountant in the future since the price is the same.
