Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took a while but very easy! Today was my first time filing and I was nervous but it was very easy and they explain the process every step of the way. If you don't have much time I would say this might not be your option for filing for the first time but if you know what you are doing I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have Turbo Tax for20 years or more! I have found Turbo Tax easy to understand and especially helpful to explain items that are out of the ordinary filing process. Each year the tax laws change and Turbo Tax incorporate these changes and helpful hints on what they mean and how to relate them to your tax filings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves a lot to be desired I did engage with an on-line expert and she was great!! However, the program itself is not easy to use. I had all kinds of questions asked that I never had before. I was asked about minimum distribution because of my age, but I am a retired CSRS employee who receives a monthly annuity. Many answers I just guessed at. Also the quick zoom doesn't work so I had to use a second computer to look up info. I think I might have to go back to Tax Act.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax desktop is good. But shortcomings. Generally, I find TT desktop good. (But often dissatisfied with TT online -- frequently must upgrade to desktop to get past TT's own errors.) My biggest complaint this year is that I purchased TT early (about November last year) to help with year-end tax planning. I was very disappointed to discover that TT was unable to prepare a (tentative) tax return at that time -- TT was incomplete, awaiting updates, and refusing to prepare even a tentative return. Thus, there was no advantage to my EARLY purchase -- I could have gotten cheaper if I had waited.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good Great except I didn't like when I got ready to submit the efile and chose to go back in and change how I paid Intuit fee, (from take from refund to pay with credit card) it kept showing the permission page with my name on it for the fee to be taken out of my refund instead of how I already paid it through credit card. This needs to be updated to reflect the change because I do not want to be charged again for something I have already paid for.
