Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Time in Many Years That I Have Had Problems Have used TT for many years and always rated excellent. This year I called support regarding a problem I noted with carryforward of charitable contributions on the NC state return. Rep sent me a print-out of things to try, which was not the solution. Second Rep said she did not see any system problem and advised me to resubmit. Rejected again, this time with a message that TT had noted a problem with NC charitable contributions. I waited for corrections and noted the carryforward info was still incorrect, which I corrected. Third submission was accepted. Also, had a problem with using refund to purchase I bonds. Although Form 8888 was filed correctly, the IRS refunded the entire overpayment without purchasing the I bonds. TT Rep said to call IRS, which is a 3+ hour wait time. I was also charged twice for NC state return (one is included with TT Deluxe).

From the start the experience was great from the ease of using the app. Then the first person to contact toake sure I had all the documents before I got my tax expert. I think her name was Melissa or Angela. She was so amazing , I am just terrible with names. I hope there is a way to track that so they can tell her I really think she was professional and relatable. Then I was paired with Lynn. And she did a great job gathering all the information and finding everything she could to help me. And also taking the time to triple check everything. She answered all my questions and was so patient with me as well. And also along the way I spoke with two of your phone representatives with some questions as well they were also fantastic I didn't get the first ones name . I am so sorry. But he was so amazing. And that second gentleman I didn't get his name but I have the claim number from the call ,1493156186, he was cool as well. He helped me fix where I had put the max option and I couldn't remove it. So that was cool. I think the only minor thing that I thought could be fixed was that because I have a retirement investment my filing wasn't free like I thought it was gonna be. I am having health issues and was trying to save all the money I could But I don't hold that at fault to the people I spoke to they were all too sweet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from AGI Rejects The IRS is backlogged on processing the 2020 returns therefore when filing in 2022, the 2021 AGI validation is rejecting the e-file process. Turbo Tax should caveat the AGI validation process by stating that if the taxpayer received a CP50 from the IRS stating there was a Credit on your account (in the amount equal to your payment last year) that the correct AGI entry should be a 0 (Zero) during this validation process.

The questions are easy to understand and there are helpful tips along the way. There's so much information at your finger tips and validation in the background, that you are confident that you are getting the best refund possible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed with TurboTax 2021 version The step by step program does not contain steps to differentiate tax exempt interest from "resident state" vs "non-resident states." This puts the burden on the customer to remember to manually enter this information directly into the forms. Disappointed in what was the "premium" version of TurboTax 2021. Really question whether to use the 2022 product.
