Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken IN e-file silently prevented other e-files I've used TurboTax for years, but will look around next year. I file Federal and two states. This year (2021) I tried to e-file the 3 returns and it would say "Transmitting return" for a few seconds and then nothing more would happen. No indication of failure except that it didn't go to the next step. No indication of what caused the failure. I kept trying, continuing into the off-hours. Eventually I tried e-filing one return at a time, which worked except for Indiana. Some online searching revealed that Indiana e-file had been broken for a month or more. Why couldn't TurboTax have temporarily removed Indiana e-file or said something helpful? This was a good example of TurboTax's unfriendliness towards the user. The little quirks and annoyances that remain through the years makes me feel that TurboTax only does what it has to. However, a positive thing is that I haven't had problems with the returns that TurboTax has prepared.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not to Bad ... Easier than HR Block The directions were easy to follow. A little confusing for the first time retired person though. I got charged twice for the Federal and State online program to process my e-filing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love turbo tax I have used for years either I am getting smarter or it is getting better, only wish on the review when there is an error to fix it would take you to the page, ALTHOUGH , I just learned this year you can see all the forms and do it that way.... and that is next once you go to the actual documents, no way back but to close... but I will probably learn that issue next year!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Service is easy, but so are my taxes My taxes are super simple. I used the EZ form for years, and nothing much has changed for me over the years. Turbo Tax has been easy to use. I should have used the free service every year, but have paid in past years for extras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Accurate Taxes are made simple by TurboTax. I used Live Turbotax and help was readily available. I was able to get help from CPA, TT representatives immediately and they solved query to my expectation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very discussed Followed step by step instructions, have used Turbo Tax before. Would not let me e-file, problem with the AGI, double checked my last years return, and it was right. But coming back error on AGI from last years return. Was going to efile state return, paid the $25.00 fee, but it kept coming back rejected because federal return was not accepted. Tried listening to advice on your site, but it came down to your recommendation to print and file by mail. What a waste of my money, both for buying the Turbo tax and then getting that compounded by paying to e-file state and then not getting to use it. Very disappointed in your product this year. We printed and mailed returns, now wait forever to get our refund.
