Rated 4 out of 5 by from Removes *some* of the pain of tax season When compared to filling out forms by hand, this is awesome, but there aren't many people who do that anymore. We've used TurboTax for a long time, so we honestly don't know how it compares to other tools. Our simple return didn't take too long, however, we ended up looping through some of the screens multiple times as it kept asking us to review the information. In the pursuit of thoroughness, the process ends up being a bit more repetitive than necessary. It also fails to utilize previous year's return data as effectively as possible to reduce the number of "(this is not common)" things that I had to click "no" about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo tax has kept taxes easy for me going on 8 yr I always like using turbo tax, for eight whole years now. This year has been the most difficult yet but thankfully turbo tax makes it some what simple to fix mistakes and carry on with your returns

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax has turned to trash Have been with you 10 years, the last 3 years have been crap, I done with you. Asked me if i was claiming my kids and head of household, i said no to both. you filed me as single and claimed my kids on my federal but not my state. now i had to amend, and my kids mother has to wait to file for 3 or 4 months. Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simplifies taxes, discount difficult to apply I needed assistance with preparing capital gains and losses this year, but when using another software the import process was complicated by language differences between my investment company and the tax software template. TurboTax was seamless, although I did have to call customer service to have the welcome email discount applied. This would be simplified if a service code was included in the email rather than just the "Claim Offer" button.
