Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax Is A Lifesaver For several years I used one of TurboTax's competitors, with less quality technology and, I came to realize, didn't ask enough questions and/or made you do a lot of extra work. Using TurboTax is a breeze and really helps me to get the most refund I'm eligible for. I appreciate the great job they did in putting this program together — it wasn't easy, no doubt. One constructive criticism: although they did adjust pretty darn well to the pandemic and all that's related to it tax-wise, there were one or two areas in terms of tax credits where they either didn't ask enough questions or provide enough information to actually determine whether or not you're eligible — most significantly the Sick Pay Credit for self-employed. Although there was some information on the page, there wasn't enough to fully determine my status and I had to do a whole bunch of searching to find the answer — which was, if you already received PUA and/or PPP during the pandemic, you cannot claim for Sick Pay for any of those weeks (April 1-Dec.31) — you can only do so if you happen to have days (up to 10 max) that were not covered by either. I almost filed for this credit until I found the answer. Similar incomplete information on a State tax related question. But not taking any stars away because those were minor compared to all the value and speed I received overall. Also, one suggestion to TurboTax — for us rideshare drivers (and I'm sure there are a few other worker categories) who get the product for free if we filed by April 30th, it would be great for those of us who needed to do an extension to get something, as well. If not free, then perhaps 50% until October 15th. It would be a nice gesture, especially if you happen to owe taxes in that year (fortunately, I did not this year). Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbotax is a lends a very good helping hand The UI is easy to navigate. The more info tabs have good, immediate answers. It was difficult to get to a point where I felt completely lost. And help is a click away if you need to talk to someone.
