But when everything was done and my taxes were prepared to be filed now all of a sudden this $391. I decided to do TurboTax because I thought it would be cheaper, easier, and quicker than going to my usual h&r block. I was wrong. I would have gotten it done faster with h&r block, and it would have been about the same price and that is why I am disappointed. I feel like I was tricked

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate TurboTax. Going back to H&R Block next year. The software is confusing. I had several 1099s that I needed to plug into the form to reflect my occupation as an insurance inspector. Instead of allowing me to plug them all into one business, TT put each in as a separate business. Really stupid. When I tried to efile, the PIN in TT only allows for a pin with 5 digits while the IRS requires 6 DIGITS!!! I had no idea until I called the IRS and wasted about one-half hour plugging through their interminable phone tree only to find the PIN is 6 digits. Whoever wrote the code for TT should have caught that, because I tried to efile three times only to have them rejected because the PIN I tried to use was inadequate for the IRS' requirements. I lost a night's sleep because I put in all the right information but the IRS couldn't accept it because TT didn't allow for a 6 figure PIN. Printing out the return took me through a circular route before I figured out how to do it. Bottom line: TT used to be a great software. Now it's a bloated confusing pile of junk. Goodbye TT
