Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exmpt Mil Pensions do not auto to xfr 2 MN M1M Retired Military Pensions are exempt from Minnesota Taxes, HOWEVER!!!, the program does NOT automagically take you to the required form to claim this exemption, Minnesota Form M1M. Thus, for the unknowing, they DO pay taxes on their MN State Income tax form. Please fix for next year. This has been the same since they exempted Retired Military Pension from ordinary income tax around 2018 or so.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing I have always used Turbo Tax to file my returns and I didn't think much would change this year, but I am very disappointed because I have acquired a premium tax credit and are no longer eligible for the free version of turbo tax and was not aware that I would have to upgrade to the deluxe package and pay $59 each to file both federal and State returns. I don't mind paying to use the system/software but $118 to file taxes is ridiculous especially if you already owe the state and federal money. I just researched other sites that don't charge $59 to file I guess a "complex" return! Needless to say, I won't be using Turbo Tax again because I don't like unexpected surprises!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from expensive for self-taxes I enjoy using this platform, but I may use a real person last year as this has become so expensive and I didn't even call or ask a tax professional for help. Not sure why I was charged so much. My initial email was for around $100 and ended up being $179 with no questions asked. That's a bit sketchy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It is hard to understand the process It is not a great tool to understand the tax process and is almost like blindly selecting the options sometimes. It should provide more educational information for us to understand why, what, and how to correctly select the options. Some errors come up due to unrelated forms and you have to delete them using the "tool" function. The price of the service is quite expensive as well and it is getting more expensive year by year. I will switch to a real accountant at a certain point since it costs about the same as hiring an accountant.
