Rated 2 out of 5 by from They Charged Me Way Too Much This was my first year doing taxes for myself. I turned 18 and had to learn. Although the process was easy, they had so many places where you could upgrade, and I did not want to, I only wanted the free part. And I knew there would be some fees later on, but at checkout they ended up charging 120$ to my bank. I called and filed a refund request, They took 3 weeks to refund the money, so I couldn't file until I got that refund and it was so stressful and annoying.

I was able to finish in one day, even though my tax return is a bit lengthy and unusual. One suggestion for improvement: Avoid repeating questions about vehicle use for each rental property/business. Instead copy vehicle information. Present all copied vehicle information on one page with pre-filled and editable fields, rather than a series of one-question pages.
