Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4.33 Stars Actually There are a few issues that prevent a 5-Star rating: 1. Not enough detail explanation on some topics, particularly involving Schedule E inputs on income and expenses. 2. Clicking a specific topic explanation link only to be sent to a general web page that requires searching and re-entering information. 3. Preparation of state taxes (Calif) are becoming more and more confusing and difficult, causing uncertainty on whether one has provided the correct answers to step-by-step process. This happens most often when reconciling differences between Federal and State tax laws. TurboTax software should determine those differences, as the Federal return is already completed, and the software calculates the State tax based on known state tax laws. 4. It appears that this year (2022) TurboTax recategorized W-2 retirement earnings from "Wages" on previous years (line 1 of Form 1040) to "pension or annuity" compensation that is reported on the "Additional Income/Adjustments" attachment (Schedule 1). Just a refinement? Change of Federal treatment? Not explained.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Advice for Errors on Turbo Tax Turbo Tax is great and easy to use as long as you do not make errors. I had two errors in my file that the program did not identify. It just kept rejecting my return with, "Oh there seems to be a snag in your return." With one of the online experts, we were able to find out that 1. I had a Federal Pin, but forgot to enter the number, and 2. When one of my uploaded documents errored, and I entered the info manually instead, I needed to go back and delete the errored file from my documents.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have used Turbo Tax the past 11 years I have used Turbo Tax the past 11 years and very simple to follow navigating through each page. My only issue is the IRS sends a personal pin number that you cannot input when filing. Once you file, you get an email that your return was rejected and have to go back in to Turbo Tax at that point to input the IRS Pin Code. Other then that, very satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more hand entered forms. Remembers info from previous year, automatically imports tax forms. E-Files and answers questions. Sometimes you have to be specific on how you ask the question, before it understands it.
