Rated 1 out of 5 by from Long wait time and poor communication I decided to try out TurboTax this year since H&R Block had a serious technical issue with their website that prevented me from starting my taxes. I have used their equivalent full service product, trusting a tax professional to prepare my return, for a couple years now. Using the TurboTax live full-service product was somewhat disappointing. From the time I uploaded my documents to actually filing the return, it took a little over 3 weeks. Now I understand and can sympathize that March is a busy time of year for tax professionals. I'm less upset with how long it took, and more with poor communication from my expert. I was left hanging with unanswered messages more than once, leaving me to contact support after 3+ days of waiting to finally prompt a response. The last time was after I was told the return would be ready that day, and then radio silence for days on end. For the price ($460+) this felt like a let-down and I can't really recommend it.

Then, when I had questions, a tax expert was able to help me navigate the addition of our first child and the new operation of a small online business into the mix remotely without problems. I'm confident I have everything in order this year and it will be that much simpler next year now that it is setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is Great! We've just completed our taxes with Turbo Tax for the 3rd year. It is convenient to be able to file in the privacy of home, and at a pace that fits our lifestyle. The program is easy to use, and the prompts given make it almost impossible to make a mistake. It's comforting to know a tax expert is available to answer questions at any time aalong the way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 2021 Tax This was the most confusing year ever using Turbo Tax. I had to re-enter my 1099-Div,1099-B,1099-R, Metlife Pension, etc...... so many times I lost track. A very friendly customer service representative call me within 8 minutes and she explained I need to wait until the very end of the income section to do the reviews. I did that and still had to re-enter everything again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbotax Review For most parts, its pretty easy to use Turbotax. The biggest issue is turbotax charges for filing STATE returns when less than $41,000. I've already paid to but the software, but being charged for a simple return. I am also having to pay filing charges when the refund amount is ZERO. It would be nice to get a break when 1) return is ZERO and 2) when AGI is less than $41,000
