Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbotax is awesome! Turbotax software is great, and even better is tax experts over phone! Yes, there are a few areas to improve for even better software. Bugs are normal for software and deugging is of great fun. two bugs we found are: 1) the start/stop dates for some Stock CALLs, imported from Etrade, confused Turbotax, which I have to manually swap the acquired date and sold date, to woo turbotax to pass all the imported (stock) transactions. 2) How to report correctly a no-point, no-fee refinancing activity, for the no-fee refinanced loan, there normally a "lender credit" amount, to cover all the various fees(loan origination fee, escrow fee, title insurance policies, etc). Turbotax refinancing form has only inputs fields for fees, but not "lender credit". If only fees are input, then it confused everyone involved, because for no-fee new loans there is no green bills out of pocket. 3) the output is un-deterministic, when a no-point, no-fee refinancing form is filled with all zeros. at odd times it will create a new dollar-zero asset entry, at even times it will delete the asset entry just created. and on and on. But in general, Turbotax software is a great product, and I'm pretty sure it will become better and better.

Turbotax Business is AWESOME BUT .... in doing the 1041 Decedent Trust return, the program says for Schedule D Capital Gains/Losses to see the attached schedule of 1099B transactions BUT it does not allow the document to be attached for efiling. Very frustrating before concluding you can only mail the return in. Some warning flag about emailing the return without the attachment 1099B will be problematic The other problem encountered is if the 1st four characters of the entity do not match the SS-4, the IRS will reject the return. Some flag to check this name control would be good to have Otherwise, an awesome experience and would still use this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy-peasy! The experience was almost enjoyable. The only drawback was the fact it was taxes. My tax expert was thorough and helpful. She was very pleasant to talk with and helped me get all my records in line.
