Overall, I have found TurboTax quite good, using the interview to prompt me to be thorough, but allowing me to access topics and forms directly when needed. The explanations in the help are generally good, as well. Occasionally, however, I've had difficulties with the software or the help. For example, the help on dealing with college tuition and expenses could be much better. And this year my e-file kept failing with a very cryptic error message -- "cancelled, Looks like we've had a technical hiccup." -- that defied debugging! I fixed it only by *manually* initiating an update of the software. E-filing successfully is pretty basic functionality that should be FULLY tested and working in the base version *before* early April! C'mon, Intuit -- you can do better with thorough testing!
