Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax Live Self Employed needs fine tuning I moved from a local CPA who quoted $1,000 for my return. We found each other difficult to work with; it was mutual. I asked good questions. She did not want to take the time to answer. I switched to TurboTax Live on February 21, hoping to file to meet a refinance opportunity before rates rose. I was assigned a CPA and I uploaded all data but my auto use percentage. I assumed that he had access to my 2020 return filed with TurboTax online; no, it had to be uploaded. We spoke over the phone. He was then reassigned and the new Expert, an EA, asked added details, including copy of lease and Home Office square footage. I was told that we would file within a week. I was offered a $30 discount off the stated $399 price if filing by March 17. On March 14, I was assigned a new Expert, a CPA not currently licensed. We had a good call with good Q&A. I received notice that they product would be TurboTax Live Full Service COMPLEX Self-Employed at $599 plus State. This was new and should have been discussed from the beginning. I researched the "new to me" product level and agreed that, with three Schedule C, this was appropriate, but this should have been discussed in February. Final return completed April 3. $712 total including state and MAX. A good result, but 35 day added completion time from the original and twice the price as anticipated. I was offered a 10% discount for my trouble and await that refund. Lost the low refinance opportunity. What's the cost of that?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What happened to FREE? Have used and really love Turbo Tax for several years now. Easy, efficient and helpful. However, i qualified for the Free version, but was not able to get the Free version! Hoe does one go about getting the free version???

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2021 Turbotax I think the Turbotax 2021 calculation for Married Filing Jointly may have a calculation error in the taxable income category of $172,751-$329,850. My taxable income for 2021 is $201,096. Turbotax calculates the Tax (line 16 of 1040-SR) to be $33,461. My calculation of the tax from the 2021 Tax Tables is $36,305. Please clarify the Turbotax calculation of $33,461. I have submitted my 1040-SR forms using the Turbotax calculation to the IRS. Thank you.
