Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax techs are great We have used TurboTax for many years. This is the first year that I had to call tech support several times. The program would get stuck in a loop when trying to update. We found it worked just to uninstall and reinstall which was a pain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My experience could have been better! I feel that the charge of $55 for each state is a little steep. I also ended up having to do online and purchase of a CD because they would not take my second federal return I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and this was the worst experience!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax saved a lot of time. I have been a TurboTax user for many years. In 2019 my wife died. In 2019 I filed as married filing jointly. When filling out TurboTax for 2020, when I noted that my wife died in 2019, I was prompted to log out and start a new TurboTax account as a Single person. I did that. After completing all the data for the new 2020 forms as a Single person, I was told that I owed $8,416 more taxes. I immediately contacted the help chat line and discovered that my short and long term investment losses from 2019 TurboTax did not forward to my new 2020 TurboTax account. The chat agent helped me find the best solution, which was to enter the Form D short and long term carry over losses from my 2019 TurboTax data. This was faster than going back to my old account, used over the years as married filing jointly, and starting over entering all the 2020 data. So, this is a TRAP set by TurboTax that will prompt the Widowers filing as Single the year after their spouse dies. TurboTax needs to remove the prompt recommending that the Widower to log out and create a new account as a single person. Or, TurboTax needs to link the Form D capital gain/loss data from the prior year to new account that the Widower was prompted to set up. Much of the data from the old account was linked to the new account when it was created, just not the Form D Capital Gin/Loss data.
