Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax Does It Again I've been using TurboTax Deluxe for years. Wouldn't file my taxes any other way. I was a little disappointed with how TT handled the MA Senior Circuit Breaker tax credit, but I blame the Commonwealth's dumb instructions rather than TurboTax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax has NO COMPETITION I've used TurboTax for at least 10 years now. One year, about 4 years ago, I thought I'd try a less expensive program that I'd heard of before. I tried to use it and was instantly lost in form number "who knows what" and worksheet "Do I need this?" I didn't even get through my W-2 before I was processing my return and buying TurboTax again. It's just the best PERIOD

If you're willing to accept that TurboTax is worthwhile and pay a nominal fee (it may get subsumed anyways), then you can simply go through your materials with relative confidence you're doing the right thing. Unless your tax situation is so convoluted and loaded with potential misunderstandings so as to look like outright criminal dishonesty, this product is easily enough expertise to cover your liability with respect to the tax code. This program searches hard to help you, and the IRS cannot blame a normal citizen for assuming Intuit knows what it's doing. I wouldn't choose any other way and won't unless my situation drastically changes.
