Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed We have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have always been able to breeze through the process. Maybe because it was the first year we "owed" money to the Feds it was new to us but STILL....the final steps in filing were the worst and most confusing. Our state refund was being automatically deducted what we owed to the Feds and there was no way around it so We called 1-800 #. We received a phone call back from a Michelle and her knowledge in Turbo Tax seemed a bit shaky. Her vocalization of things that perturbed her in our records were not reassuring. She told us to start all over to solve the problem and could not tell me why our refund from the State was showing a deduction of the amount we owed to the Feds when I was going to send that seperately via ACH. At this point I do not know if I will use Turbo Tax again next year. ALSO, the packaging of the CD was terribly difficult to get into. The CD was stuck to the side of this tight little envelope with something and we had to rip it open to get it out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from State return rejected I always find that things that are not ordinary are difficult to do in TurboTax, and I am an accountant. Issues are highlighted and they're not easy to fix, as there might be a very specific thing that needs fixing (i.e. a blank instead of a zero), and TurboTax doesn't help you know. Also, my state tax was rejected for information that was not consistent from last year, and I double checked and everything was perfect. Still trying to figure that out. I'm sure this is very good for run of the mill returns, but mine is medium complexity and it doesn't do well.
