Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls far short of promises Many problems. I had expected Turbo tax to be an improvement over HR Block, which I had been using. Complete disappointment. 1. Package promised to import data from H R Block. In fact, all it tries to do is import the 1040 itself. Prior year details for 1099s, etc cannot be transferred. 2. Tools has a feature to display all your entries to ease proofreading. This list cannot be printed. If you go from there to a form or questionnaire to check something, it will not send you back to where you left off in the entries. It even eliminates viewing changes you made. 3. In many ways, data entry is more painful than in HR Block. I am out of time to elaborate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from absolute worst claims to be free for simple version but added costs at every turn! $60 extra for using the American opportunity credit, then $50 for each state, and then an additional $40 added for using my refund to pay for this(which it doesn't mention until the end)? Ive never had it be this much for taxes, and of course the cost isn't clear until you've spent hours inputting your info. Will never be using again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's less user friendly this year I have used Turbo tax for several years and had a much harder time this year than in years past. Yes - I do have one more complicated investment - but overall it was harder to find things. At times when I thought I had imported data I was still being asked for more. It felt duplicative and also made me feel like doing my taxes myself was now beyond my abilities. Very much considering getting an accountant next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 12 years and still using TT I was nervous this year that I'd have to get a professional since I entered the agriculture business. But TT walked me through everything that was specific to the industry - saved me a bundle of time and money!
