This year, I thought I would save money by buying the program from Costco, as opposed to doing it online, through Turbotax, as I have every year past. Nothing transferred over. Nothing. I had to enter in everything as if I was a new client. It was unnecessarily time consuming. Also, I didn't realize I would have to pay an additional $25 to file my state returns, because it clearly states that it comes with 1 free State return.

Some years my return is simple but I still like reviewing the steps to refresh my understanding of tax policy at the state and federal level
