Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than HR block I have used HR block for years. This year I ran into a problem trying to enter my estimated tax payments for local taxes. I could not get an answer or speak to anyone. I had to message on facebook. I tried turbo tax and am getting $1000 more back

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax "double' charges I believe it is not appropriate after paying for the CD to have to pay for submitting the taxes. Over the years using Tax Turbo you only paid for the CD. In addition, I didn't receive a copy of my taxes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long time user feeling a little disappointed. I've used Turbo Tax for years and years. I used to buy the Turbo Tax Deluxe CD every year. I had to buy the Deluxe version because my husband is self-employed and we need the form to report expenses. The last couple of years I've used the online version. This year in particular, there were many points in the process that asked me to upgrade to other versions or to add the support options. Our taxes are pretty simple. I don't need a lot of extra. I could not get past a certain point in the process without upgrading to "Premium" in order to search for and report expenses. Again, our taxes are pretty simple. I'm disappointed. I still love Turbo Tax, but it felt like I was being forced to pay for more than I needed. There may have been a way to complete my taxes without this upgrade, but I couldn't find it. So I ended up paying $119 instead of $59. For about another $50 I could have had our tax professional prepare our taxes. I use Turbo Tax to save money. Well, I used to at least. Also, there was an offer to pay for the Turbo Tax with my refund which sounds great! However, when I got closer to finishing, there was a $39 fee for that option. I went back and paid with my debit card to avoid that fee. Thank you Turbo Tax, but please don't make a great thing too complicated or tricky! Looking forward to using it again for 2023 taxes!
