Your fees are UNAFFORDABLE for the elderly
My experience with Turbo Tax has always been helpful until this year when your FEES for tax preparation became extremely for elderly ppl on a fixed income such as myself

Almost fun. Easy to use, have used TurboTax for about 10 years.

TurboTax is Great!
Using TurboTax is easy and great but just hate that they are charging a lot of money this year. I feel we should only have to pay one price instead of the same price twice. Other than that love using them and will continue to use them.

AWFUL Customer Service Questionable upsell tactic
After I had completed my entire return Turbo tax Deluxe I went thru the review stage and based on capital loss carryover Turbo tax advised that I would need to upgrade to Premier version which I did. Turns out Turbotax was wrong. I searched help and numerous sites to try and change back to deluxe - no luck. Called customer service and spoke with Jean who wasn't able to help me. He put me on hold and when he came back was apparently no longer able to hear me even though I hadn't touched my phone while I was on hold. Hung up after two minutes of waiting for him to figure it out. Even though he confirmed my phone# prior to hold he didn't call me back. Then I called and spoke with Kayeesha? who told me it's my problem and I should just start another turbo tax account. I explained to Kayeesha? I've had my account for years. Then she hung up on me and I got an email closing my ticket. Thankfully there was a survey attached so hopefully she can be identified with my feedback on her poor service. Called back, on hold 10 minutes. Line was picked up and rep never spoke, just kept the line open. I could hear them on the line but they refused to acknowledge me for over 2 minutes. Called back, on hold again 10 minutes. Same thing, line picks up, no one talks even though I can hear noise in the background. Called again spoke with Tuyne who was polite and seemed knowledgable. She answered my question but the only workaround is to delete the whole return and start again. She advised she would email me directions which she did. I asked to speak with a Supverisor at the end of the call so I could express my frustration at the horrific customer service and that I was incorrectly prompted by turbo tax to select a higher cost product with no way to change back without redoing my whole return. ----It seems extremely questionable that turbo tax upsells higher product levels throughout the whole return with just a click of a button but when you want to go back to the lower level it's not possible - even when you completed the entire return in the lower product and only changed it based on an incorrect prompt from turbo tax when you're reviewing prior to filing--- So, asked Tuyne to speak with a Supervisor and she gave me what I thought was a closing statement prior to transferring me - but - she hung up on me too. Unbelievable!

Thank you for empowering me to do my own taxes. The added icons for clarification are amazing. I encourage anyone who isn't the top 10% to use this product.

Return Not Accepted
I really like the ease of the process, but in the end, our return was not accepted because our adjusted gross income figure "did not match" our previous year's figure - even though it did. I tried everything from cut and paste to retyping (with and without the period), Nothing worked. Ultimately, I had to print and mail my returns & I'm just hoping TurboTax has not charged me the $25 fee for state filing.

Easy Peasy!
There were so many changes this year, my easy return turned into questionable actions for me! George, with the chat group was incredibly helpful and encouraging with my questions and gave me all the right answers. Will use again next year as I did last year! Price is so reasonable as well.
