Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing this year I have been pleased with Turbotax in the past. However this year was somewhat frustrating. I was unable to pull up information about the Economic Impact. It took me some searching online to determine that I did not qualify. But I would have preferred that Turbotax tell me that. My husband and I received letters from the IRS stains that we would get funds but apparently that was based on our 2020 income. For the Maryland return Turbotax said I was done but I wasn't. We had made contributions to a 529 program for which we qualified for a tax deduction. Turbotax never asked about this. I had to search within the Turbotax program to find out how to enter this information. It took some time but I did finally figure it out. That should not have been necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but instruction clarity could be improved Intuit releases the exact same product every year; it should be essentially perfect by now. * There are still areas where the text and instruction feels like it was an afterthought, where grammar and punctuation are not as precise as they are throughout most of the experience. * Expected date formats need to be specified * An error in my return was not caught until I clicked "transmit", after I had already saved the return for my records * "Previous tax year" should have indicated exactly which year was expected

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax was a huge pain to use this year Investments were a huge pain and most of the connections were not clear on how to log in. I got stupid K-1 for $0 and Turbo tax was obsessed about box 16 I don't really know why clearly someone is to lazy to fix the functionality. For some reason it was also having trouble with the control box on line d of my W2. If it knew it was not needed it should have deleted it for me instead going to a confusing rant about it being to short. I had to google nearly half the stuff on my tax return. When I got to payment screen it said $123 but then after I paid it was like oh hey BTW your going to also have to pay $11 in tax on your tax return. Also VERY dumb that when I started with the $15 coinbase discount and tried to switch it to the $20 Fidelity discount it would not take. I would not recommend Trubo Tax next year but I may just HAVE to use it.

First, updates for 2021 and prior years failed to install, and the only workaround was to completely re-install the product. Second, there seems to be a bug in the RSU worksheet that forced me to override to some values. These issues add a couple hours to an otherwise painless process.
