Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fair - But should be great Even following the "guide me " route there are times Turbotax does not make sense and misses some things. It thinks my wife had a break in healthcare, when she did not. A shame as by now Turbotax should be awesome but is just average. If I had not been using it so long I would be inclined to change to another product.

You end up spending a lot of time, and doing all the work yourself and still pay as much as you would perhaps pay to a consultant to do it for you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would NEVER recommend this to my worst enemy TurboTax full-service was absolutely awful. The process took forever. The website is absolutely horrible. It is one of those services that bills itself as "hand it over, we'll do the rest" but instead you find yourself having to check the website 5 times a day to figure out what they need, if they've answered a question, fixing information that was mis-taken at the initial interview (not with your tax expert by the way), where in the process your tax return is, you can't even really go over it after its been done, you just get the total amount you are expected to pay/refund. But worse, this process costs $500! I paid actual top dollar for this torture. Yes our taxes were complicated this year (buy/sell house, small business and military) but, I could've gotten them done, in person, for about the same amount WITHOUT THE MISERABLE 2 WEEK solid hassle. Seriously, just go to a tax place or attempt to do them yourself. This "service" was the worst, I've never hated getting my taxes done more than I have this year. (And, it wasn't my experts fault, he was great, it was the PROCESS and website and ridiculous price)
