Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to be free to file, what the heck happened?! I have been using Turbo Tax for the past 8 years because it’s easy to use and I have never had a problem. But I don’t believe that for someone with a simple return like me, we shouldn’t have to pay anything to use these services! I don’t know if I will be a returning customer next year if I can figure out how to file my taxes for free. Watch out Turbo Tax! You’re going to lose customers because of this! Please treat your returning, loyal customers good. Especially if we have such simple returns. I hope I get to use you next year but I won’t be paying almost $150 for state and federal. Sorry!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much double entry When I was doing my taxes, I had to enter some info again during the various income and other data entry. Because I was filing as "married, filing jointly" that made sense, the owner of that income needed to be identified. Both of my boys who filed as single also had to do that, even though there was only one possible person who would have been associated with the income. Also, is there any way to (lobby?) the IRS so that the data uploaded from various financial institutions and employers can be downloaded from a single source instead of requiring multiple downloads or manual data entry? In this day and age, the current method is extremely archaic and my boys are blaming your software because that is where this issue is visible to them. Even though it may not be your fault, this process is hurting your reputation with the younger (20s) users.
