Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problems with Form 8543 Overall the program was working fine until I got to the very end and already efiled my taxes. It told me I had to print and snail mail to the IRS form 8543 which said to attach form 8949. This had absolutely NO explanation from the program and was all Greek to me. I had to search for several hours online with the IRS and Turbo Tax community to get any explanation. Apparently it has to do with summary vs detailed stock transactions, but there was NO WARNING in the program that this could be an issue when this information was entered. This is a serious flaw. I saw that many had complained about this in the TT community last year, but it has not been addressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good, but need to work on specific topics I’ve been using TurboTax for many years and know that it’s a quality product with plenty of support. I will continue to trust TurboTax for my personal tax returns for many years to come I’m sure. I did run into issues submitting information for the sale of my ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan) shares which forced me to call TurboxTax 3 times. The software did not seem to be able to handle situations where a company matches shares for each share that I purchased, or at least it was not clear how to handles this. I had to restart my whole return after spending hours on the phone with TurboTax support people. I do think the support was good and they people were very friendly and helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could not get money back for not using "Delux" Love using TurboTax generally speaking, I thought I would need more help so paid the $50 upgrade price. I ended up not needing or using any of the extra features and they would not give me back the $50 upgrade I paid for.
