Questions were easy to answer and you could use the BACK button to check to make sure you answered correctly. They double checked everything and always asked if "Is this correct?" Very easy to file!

It helped me complete my taxes but charged me 140$ which is over 20% of my refund for someone who was not employed the whole year scraping just enough for medication just to stay alive, I can't say that I would recommend Turbo Tax. It isn't like there is a real accountant doing the work, it is a computer. Those are facts as represented by the software.

What made this experience terrible was that I had to file taxes in 2 states because I had to move around during 2020. So I lived in one state for 3 months before moving. I didn't have a job in State 1 but I filled it out, fine. After asking me to pay I got prompted for state ID because of Illinois state laws. I didn't have an IL ID of any sort because I only lived there for a few months! So it didn't let me file so I just wanted a refund. I tried to get a refund and their refund form didn't work. Called customer service, got stalled for nearly an hour before they suddenly got their online refund form to magically work. I did use the "find your charge" option and it gave me a slightly different order number with the wrong states so it clearly wasn't mine. They made getting a refund terribly hard (and I only wanted a refund for the state that I couldn't even file for!) I found this whole process ridiculous because I clearly didn't use the product for one state but was ready to file it through Turbo Tax but they made this very stressful and this is already quite expensive to use for me ($50 per state and $60 for federal, I might as well go to tax-slayer or H&R Block if they can't keep it clean). Overall, the website is fine, customer service was clumsy, and the whole process is miserable. I'm never using TurboTax again and possibly returning to manually filling them out in hopes that the IRS will stop making this process miserable.
