Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pushing to hard to upsell to deluxe The only deduction that I qualified for forced a switch to deluxe which costs 60 dollars, but wouldn't have even saved me a third of that And the only way to go back at that point is to completely wipe and start over. If you plan on using free, never enter any deductions, or you'll waste more time having to start over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to understand and use The format of the questions are really simple and it takes you through all the steps. You can choose to skip sections if you don't need it but I find it really helpful to go through each and everyone to understand the Tax process better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to follow instructions The only part that was confusing to me that I had to look up how to find and process was my state 1099-MISC. It did not automatically come up as an option in the tax steps. Other than that simple and easy to follow instructions making it stress free.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Software great, hit and miss with experts I like Turbotax and almost every year I use it. However, this year, I signed up for expert assistance and had to make many calls till I finally found someone more authoritative than me. The experts could not even link to a turbotax article on the web which I finally found. They meant well but lacked the expertise or tooling to help me out. The search inside Turbotax did not turn up that either which is surprising. I do not feel the additional dollars was worth the experience and will not sign up next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems with TurboTax Had to delay filing for three months waiting for a Turbo Tax problem with the program regarding a Schedule C vehicle expense looping problem to be fixed by Turbo Tax. Spent at least 5 hours with representatives trying to fix it and they finally told us after much searching and trying to fix that we would have to wait until the Turbo Tax problem was fixed. Turbo Tax would announce to all Schedule C filers when they fixed the problem. To date, it has not been fixed. We simply had to file and did so without the problem being being solved by Turbo Tax. And very frustrating...we signed up to use Turbo Tax Premier, Fed and State through Fidelity Investments where we were to get the program free. We always accessed Turbo Tax through Fidelity and not by going on line directly to log in. But by having to wait three months hoping the Turbo Tax vehicle looping in Schedule C, by then we were only given Premier Fed and State with a $20 discount, rather than free! We have used Turbo Tax only for years. We now are not sure what we will do next year.
