Rated 3 out of 5 by from long time user... probably last year I was very disappointed this year with my experience. Ive used Turbo tax for my family and helping my parents file for over 8 years now. This year I felt the extra options I signed up for were completely useless. The advisor I spoke with was not helpful. And with the prices... its cheaper to get an accountant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax works well I don't understand why I can't use my older computer (iMac OS Ver. 10.13.6) which has all my records and files. I had to transfer all to MacBook Pro with smaller screen and more hassle for filling out the forms.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Simple input but terrible follow through This seemed like the easy and most straight forward program to use. It was pretty easy to navigate but the follow through from TurboTax wasn't very helpful. I opted for the upgraded plans and for the program to dig deeper on deductions but after no deductions were found there was no option to downgrade. I feel like the checkpoints are misleading on upgrades and a way of sucking any more money out of your wallet. Here's a suggestion about the upgrade TurboTax: if you cant find any deductions or benefits towards the tax impact, how about you downgrade your service that reflects your ability to help. When I did use one of the enhanced chat features it was not helpful. They were not able to efile my state taxes due to an error on the TurboTax side so the 50 some odd dollars they charged were not reversed. I got the paper forms filled by this service but still had to do the leg work and file by mail. I would possibly use again but this experience has tarnished my opinion of this company and process. I have used similar services through other companies, the tax info input was a little more tedious but the filing portion was taken care of when I hit file.
