Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is very good, but "bugs" do exist Last year I had no problem with TurboTax. This year I discovered a "bug" users should know about - if you refinanced your home mortgage, you will get more than one 1098 form, one from each lender. If you enter multiple lenders and their respective 1098 interest paid amounts, TurboTax sums up the interest paid correctly, but it INCORRECTLY assumes you have multiple mortgages and this can cause you to go over the $750k loan amount dictated by the Feds, causing TurboTax to reduce your mortgage interest - WHICH IS INCORRECT. Only by carefully reviewing the detailed forms did I discover this. I called the TurboTax help line, and the help person picked up on this error right away and helped me perform a workaround to correct the problem. The TurboTax help person was EXCELLENT, knowledgeable, and VERY helpful. Can't say enough about how great the help person was. So all in all, it worked out OK. One feature I'd like to see TurboTax add is a little more insight into what calculations TurboTax is making in the background, i.e., how it arrives at the numbers. If such background info had been front and center, I would have seen the above error being made. So more "detail" might bore some folks, but for others of us it would be appreciated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax still mostly sucks I always have to put in workarounds. Also, becare to read the menus carefully as there are typos. Every year I say I won't use it again. But alas, here I am on May 15, 2021. I just paid TT $60 for my $33 refund.
