Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax great for 10 yrs, this yr update disaster TurboTax has been excellent for the last 10 years. This year, for the first time, I had to file for an extension. When I tried to continue TurboTax for the new deadline, it would not update properly, and would not let me in the program. I could not find a solution online, and could not get any response from TurboTax. I bought another copy, same problem. I finally got it to work on a friend's computer after days of anxiety but lost all carryover info.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax helps to keep it all together. Because our returns are extremely complex, I am grateful to Intuit TurboTax for their walk-through approach. It would be confusing to try to tie up all the ends if this were not available.

State returns in my personal experience, but consistent with what I see posted on the support site, have a lot of flaws that TurboTax simply ignores. The same issues recur year after year with no acknowledgment by Turbotax of their existence much less any timelines to fix.

My wife and I make decent money but don't have any unusual expenses or investments--it should be simpler to find what we're required to enter and move on. Please improve support for backdoor IRA users, and don't flag $0 deductions as an issue (i.e., a $0 childcare prover that we didn't use last year but want to retain on TurboTax records to reference next year).
