Rated 3 out of 5 by from Customer Service needs work Twice I tried to get help with how to file my state taxes. Twice I was left to figure it out on my own. The first chat representative left the chat randomly. The second, Judy with 34 years of experience, kept giving me incorrect information. "My spouse" does not refer to me. My wife has never served in the armed forces and Judy insisted that I need to mark that she has because that question was in reference to me. (Sorry Judy, but it wasn't about me.) As a matter of fact, my wife is exempt under MSRRA from paying state taxes so maybe some of the reps need to get extra training before they end up getting people audited for the mistakes of said reps. I'm glad I paid the extra for live help when help wasn't given. I'll be using another service next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy and fast Good way to do my own taxes. Just think the fee is too high, especially when forced to buy a package. Started out free then I was given no other option but to pay $40 each (for Federal and State Taxes).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More software issues this year than ever before There were occasions when the program showed me actual tax forms and I had to figure out the number. I value turbo tax in asking simple questions to auto-populate the numbers. It was both frustrating and required the advice of an outside accountant. Two times the error was decimal point added by Turbo Tax. I have used Turbo Tax for many years without issue and this year was the first time the software was faulty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Makes taxes simple, but hidden fees I love that taxes are so simple through this site but every year I feel like I'm hit with hidden fees that I don't see until the end. It's like getting a meal at a restaurant, thinking you know what you ordered, only to get the check and see they charged you for the water and washing the dishes afterward. It took digging through the previous pages to find it but I was able to remove one of the fees, thankfully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Life Easy!! I have tried other services in the past to file my taxes without a professional and failed miserably. After that I would use the Block people but they charged a small fortune every time. After using TurboTax I am confident in my return and doing it myself.
