Rated 3 out of 5 by from Entering credit card info-state filing fee Preparing taxes was no problem. But entering credit card information for state filing was terrible. I used this in past but application forced me to enter same information again. When I lost the focus from application, I can see the open window but was unable to access. I have to login 3 times. Aplication already has all the information but poor design and implementation forced to enter same information multiple times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worst year of Turbo Tax software (2021 return) I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and this year's had 3 major flaws. 1. Had to go to a forum and change underlying windows settings in order to load the program--sucked up over 3 hours of my time. 2 Unclear instructions on how to handle Crypto income and associated Form 1099-K. 3. I purchased Deluxe version with one free state efile and yet, TT forced me to pay an addidional $25 on my credit card to file my son's MA return.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Struggles with discounts Overall Turbotax was okay to use. What I didnt like is that I was supposed to get a discount through Robinhood but it never went through on the Turbotax side, and when I asked a customer service agent about it (and was on hold for 10+ minutes) I never got a straight answer. Based on this and the fact H&R Block has decent software now I probably wont use Turbotax going forward.

Had some minor under $20 for misc investments total and had to pay $150 to Turbo tax to get it through. Credit karma was much better last year and if I didnt wait last min (shame on me) I wouldve went with another option after being forcing to upgrade. I do like turbo tax interface and going through the process but there should be limits if things are under a certain amount or price scaled to reflect how much "work" will need to be done for the extra category. I had no crypto and only limited stocks as I am still new to investing and being forced to upgrade at a higher price than was even claimed in that investment was nonsense.
