My stepdad has always filed my taxes using commercial software but I needed to do it on my own this year due to his declining health. TurboTax made it a simple straightforward process that I trust like it’s my own family.

Have done my own taxes, (on paper !) for the past 40 years, except when I've used CPA tax accountants for a complicated return and estate tax. one made a serious mistake and I got audited ! Recently I got behind a couple years and wanted to file on line, so I decided to try turbo tax. However, I found out I still had to send in a paper return since it was almost two years overdue. Wish I knew that before I nearly got to the end of process!...since my printer was not working. in the middle of processing the return, the screen went back to the start page and I could not continue where I left off. Eventually , I found a phone number to call and was connected to the most helpful , patient tech support person ive ever encountered Lance. He spent a couple hours with me and my computer to rectify the problem. In the process , I became more familiar with my computers functionings. He also alerted me to tax issues and my computer settings I might need to be aware of further on. This was so helpful in general , as well as for preparing my return!!
