Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to know which product to use I like using TurboTax because it's quick and easy to use. However, it's difficult to know which product to use for your tax situation. For example, I upgraded to premium on my first tax return with TurboTax a few years ago in order to accommodate my student loan information. I no longer have a student loan or make student loan payments, but I'm still charged for the premium product. I was also forced to pay an additional $89 for an additional upgrade to review 1099B forms I had last year but didn't have this year. You cannot undo your upgrade during your tax return, so you end up paying for services you didn't need. Users should be prompted to upgrade at the end of their tax return so that they're able to choose the correct TurboTax product that they ACTUALLY needed to file their return.
